I'm tall and needed more legroom behind the wheel. This gave me 3" more knee room. The mounting plate holes lined up with the 4 original bolt holes, and I used 2 #10 x3/4" screws at both edges of the mounting plate into the plywood of the seat base. Seems quite secure and slides easily. Note the warning sticker regarding the plastic alignment lock. Looks easy to shear off.
