Complete Set DBoys Metal Gearbox V2 7mm Airsoft AEG Review

I purchased this new drop in gearbox two months ago. I am not a professional player or airsoft technician, however i have worked on electricity and electronics for over 20 years, so i feel i have adequate experience to install this "drop in replacement part". At first this item worked great and i had a reliable 340 fps from my tight bore barrel, and the 9.6v battery.
After the second use of this new gearbox firing became intermittent. Sometimes the gun fires, sometimes it does not. After a troubleshooting I determined that the trigger mechanism contacts were faulty or else there was a loose connection within the gearbox itself. I contacted customer support and was told to check my connections(already had) and my fuse (which it could not have been, maybe that guy needs to learn electricity). I was also informed that the technical department would contact me, which never happened. Not that it was needed. I was also told that I may have installed it incorrectly. Really....really. first off its not that difficult of a task and second and most important; it was just working.
I'm a 40 year old man out having fun with my kids, I am not rough on my gear. I am not diving in cover and jumping over things. I stay back safe and suppress.
After that i was informed that the gearbox was out of warranty by a couple weeks, so if i wanted them to work on it, it would cost shipping on my part plus $60 per hour. that is the price of a new one.
I really wish they would stand behind their products, and get more knowledgeable and less condescending customer service. I outfit four kids to play and know where I will not be getting new gear from.
