I had problems with the chain falling off the chainring after switching my commuter to a 1x7 setup. After putting the Paul Chain Keeper on, it's never fallen off. I've heard the chain grind on the inside of the keeper a few times after jumping curbs and other jarring situations, which means the chain would have fallen off if it weren't for the Paul Keeper. It's been flawless so far and very adjustable.

Support small USA machine shops and family owned bike parts companies! Paul Components is in Chico, CA and makes really great parts from solid billet aluminum. Their stuff is a bit more expensive, but when you consider that it's carved out of a big block of metal in a small machine shop in the USA, it's worth it.

While the .30-30 is not really stout recoil it was very dramatically improved and the rifle is much more comfortable to shoot in longer sessions. Though advertised for three rods, If you put an aluminum tube (with rod in it) in the top of three elastic loop positions and an aluminum rod tube with a rod in it in the bottom slot you can take two rods in their sleeves out of their tubes, put them both in the middle elastic holder and you have room for four rods in this case. The two aluminum tubes provide plenty of strength and protection for the middle two rods which are only in their fabric sleeves. The external pouch pockets carry four reels from 7 to 12 weight easily.

I am a birdwatcher and own some expensive bino glass.

I was in Hawaii unexpectedly at last minute on a extended business trip - so I neglected to pack any of my binoc's - so I picked up this pair of Bushnell binocs (model 254210C made in China) at a big box store for $50 bucks.

In Hawaii - you NEED binoculars: birdwatching, whale watching, surf watching, surfer-girl watching, star gazing.

I was surprised that this $50 pair was as good as it is. In low light - not so good. And a bit fuzzy around the edges if you look carefully - but I used this pair everyday for activities above - and was happy.

Will it replace my $1000 binocs? No.

Will I grab this set the next time I am in the rain or in canoe - definately.
