If you're familiar with Thermarest self inflating camping pads made in USA then you'll be familiar with this Hummingbird product because it's made by the same company. This lumbar pillow is perfect for those long commutes on the bus, car or plane. I use this to improve my posture while sitting which takes the strain off of my lower back, it could also double as a pillow since it inflates to 3" thick. I used to roll up a towel or shirt but those compressed over time and you'd have to re-roll and set it back in place. The Hummingbird pillow self inflates with a plastic valve and never deflates, you can adjust the firmness by letting air in or out of the valve. The quality is excellent and very robust, the back side of the pillow is silver and has a slight surface texture so it doesn't slide around the back of the chair. When fully deflated, I can roll it up to the size of a soda can for easy transport. I've owned their Thermarest pads for over 20 years and never had one fail, I imagine I'll have this Lumbar pillow for at least 20 years. The fabric is durable and easily cleaned, I like this product so much I'll probably buy another one.
