Our zafu is a round traditional meditation cushion with pleated sides. The cover is made of cotton twill fabric. We hand stuff our zafus with natural kapok so that they will not collapse after a few sittings. All our zafus are double-stitched for extra strength and come with a carrying handle. Each zafu is approximately 15" in diameter and 9" in height and 4.5 lbs in weight. This zafu is perfect for people who need extra height.

I finally found a meditation set up that doesn't cut off the the circulation in my legs. I am 5'10" with a 35" inseam and dodgy knees. Kneeling benches kill my knees and other cushions don't keep my legs from going to sleep. This cushion, with the jumbo zabuton underneath, is tall enough and firm enough to keep all my weight from falling onto my legs. If it is too firm for you, you can always take out some of the stuffing, but be aware that nice natural kapok is incredibly messy--long silky strands that catch on everything and are very hard to corral.

It is bulky and kind of heavy to take somewhere--forget about traveling, but it is the only thing I can tolerate for more than ten minutes.
