This is a terrific grip for a K or L frame Smith & Wesson round frame revolver when you want a full square butt grip. I bought one of these for my S&W 686-Plus revolver. The grip installed in under one minute and fits the gun perfectly. Not only does this grip look better than the stock synthetic grip but it feels better in one's hand. The fine wood of this grip allows your hand to "breath" unlike the synthetic rubber which can sometimes feel tacky after shooting for a while.

A revolver grip is a personal thing and there is no "one-size-fits-all" solution that works for everyone. I will say that this style grip suits me perfectly. I have had control issues shooting .357 rounds with smaller round butt grips both on my Smiths and on my Ruger.
