The materials are excellent - water-resistant 600D Polyester, Nike zipper, cushioned shoulder strap. Size requirements vary per individual; however, this is correctly sized (13.8"H/ 13"W/24.8"L)to accommodate shoes, work out gear, 2 towels, and shower essentials comfortably.
My previous gym bag, Ogio Crunch Duffle, tore at the zipper seam after 3 years of almost daily use. Full disclosure - I grabbed the Ogio from the end (where the zipper tore) and not the carrying straps when removing from the car. Which brings up another item on the Nike that I appreciate - double stitched side straps on both sides. Lastly, the Nike has side structure to maintain an open non-collapse middle compartment.
