Buck Knives 270BK Alpha Dorado TM is a folding version of Buck's fixed blade Mini Alpha Hunter. It is a compact folding knife with a stout blade and a contoured handle that's well suited for hunting, outdoor and everyday use. It features a 2-1/2" spear point 420HC Liner Locking Stainless Steel blade. It is 4" long closed, and weighs 4.3 oz. The Alpha Dorado features Charcoal Birchwood handles, with grip ridges built on the top of the spine and heel of the frame, and comes with a fitted heavy duty black nylon sheath. The 270BK Alpha Dorado, as with all Buck Knives, comes with Buck's 4-Ever Unconditional Lifetime Warranty.

I agree that this is a NICE knife design.
Somewhat beefy and over-built in a nice way. It's a fist-full of goodness.

I want to mention however, that there is ONE thing to know...

THIS one is model 270, which is the "bargain" version in Buck's 420HC steel.
Now that's OK steel. Lord knows I own enough of it myself. It's been well proven through the years. Ask a million Buck knife users.

HOWEVER, roughly $10 more lands you model 271 which is the exact same knife but with RoseWood handles and a blade of 154-cm Steel.
It's a bit more esotgeric steel. It's what Benchmade uses on many of their pricey knives.

That doesn't make this knife "BAD", far from it.
I just wanted to mention it, because both versions are available here, and some people may want to know that.
Some will consider that one heck of an "upgrade" bargain, for $10 bucks. Some folk won't care.

I'm pretty sure that buyers will be plenty happy with EITHER of these.
They are great-looking, functional, and unique designs in my opinion.
